All the specs, everything we know about the Google Pixel 3 XL’s design initially comes from two sources. Online Unboxing photos from XDA Developers in June and a recent report by Bloomberg.
XDA Developers shared the unboxing photos of a Pixel 3 like device with Notch at the top. Dual front cameras housed inside the notch.
Meanwhile, According to Bloomberg, the taller Google Pixel 3 XL will incorporate a notch and bezel-less display stretching from edge-to-edge, while the Pixel 3 will not. The taller size will allow XL to feature two Stereo speakers. Both these third generations’ android handsets will feature dual front facing cameras, with only one lens on the back – Bloomberg report.
IPhone X has started the trend on its 10th anniversary, criticized massively. So why is Google adding this “Notch” to its phones? Well, that’s easy, main purpose is to give users some “More” space by stretching the screen around the Notch, so that users could have “more” screen to play with in parallel with size check.
Moreover, now the Notch has become a trend and hardware industry is trying to put Bezel-less display with a Notch on at the top in their upcoming phones.
It seems that Google’s aim with next Android version is to jump-start to improve the overall look of the software to lure iPhone owners to move on to Android. Company has thought about integrating the search bar on home-screen with Assistant. Meaning easy access to Google Assistant.
When will Pixel 3 XL be released?
Following the pattern in 2016 and 2017, when Google held its hardware event on Oct 4, we could possible say that Google won’t differ from this pattern.
Another Oct 4 that falls on Tuesday this year could possibly be the release date for Pixel 3.
How much will the Pixel 3 cost?
